A small tile is not automatically suitable for floors. Review the approved applications, finish, backing, traffic rating and wet-area performance of each product.
Select the Right Finish
Matte, honed or textured finishes are generally preferred in wet and frequently walked-on areas. Polished surfaces may become slippery when wet and should only be used where the product specifications permit.
For wet floors, review the documented DCOF or other applicable slip-resistance rating rather than relying on appearance alone.
Consider Grout Color

Installation and Care
Use a flat, stable and properly waterproofed substrate in wet areas. White thinset is commonly recommended behind white or translucent mosaics to preserve their intended color.
Dry-lay several sheets before installation, mix sheets from different boxes and adjust individual pieces where necessary to prevent visible sheet lines.
Seal natural marble before or after grouting as directed by the sealer and installation-product manufacturers. Clean marble with a pH-neutral stone cleaner and avoid acidic products. Glass mosaics can usually be cleaned with a soft cloth and non-abrasive cleaner.
