Metallic pool tiles offer a stunning, shimmering effect that transforms any pool into a luxurious oasis. But not all metallic finishes are safe for long-term underwater use. At SAICINA TILES, we use only advanced techniques and materials proven to withstand constant water exposure without fading or corrosion.
Safe for Submersion: What Really Works
Only three types of metallic-effect tiles are truly suitable for pool installations:
-
Fused Glass with Electro-light Surface
During high-temperature fusion, a layer of metallic glaze is permanently bonded to the surface. This creates a durable, water-resistant metallic shimmer that won't fade or peel. -
Metallic Glaze Ceramic
Special ceramic tiles with metallic glaze baked into the surface. These tiles are non-porous and resistant to water and chemicals, ideal for pool walls and borders. -
24K Gold Foil Laminated Glass
Crafted by embedding genuine gold foil between two layers of clear glass. This premium choice is both glamorous and durable, with no risk of tarnish or discoloration in pool environments.
⚠️ Not Recommended:
Other metallic coatings, such as surface-sprayed chrome or electroplating, may look brilliant at first but will corrode or fade in water over time.
